way to go aunty!

I'm at a friend's mayun and there's this aunty who is sitting next to me and we are complaining to eachother about the DJ who is doing a crappy job with the music, in the middle of our cribbing session she says to me -

" they should have downloaded songs from the computer in a cd!"

Why WHY why!!! do aunties and uncles who don't know the mouse from the keyboard need to use jargons to appear as techies! *wonders*

on the other hand.....two thumbs up aunty for atleast trying :)

i agree with madelyn .. she was trying to connect .. trying to make YOU feel comfortable ..

see when you talk to little kids .. don't you talk in a funny way? like the kids language pronouncing words in a funny way? not for your sake but the kid's sake. That's exactly what your aunt was trying to do (trying her best) .. she might not know the right jargon but she tried .. and you should be happy for that.

oh!man, :-D....that was hilarious...yes, i too know of some uncles who pretend to be in tune with evry new gadget but fail miserably when asked to give a detailed lecture(which unfortunately is not prepared by them)to deliver infront of their kid's friends as to pose as really cool dad...:-)...nontheless the fact that they bring a smile on our face makes me forgive them for their stupid actions.

before i say anything i have to bring this forth - somehow a lot ppl missed the last line - "two thumbs up aunty for atleast trying :)" i actually applaud the aunty for trying and not being like the rest, blissfully ignoring it! :)

everyone: i'm glad we all could connect to this one! ;)
